Today the Mayor of Municipality Shtip, Blagoj Bochvarski, together with the Minister of Transport and Communications, Goran Sugarevski, made an insight in the work and constructional activities on the express road Shtip-Radovish.

The construction of this express road began in June this year, and the constructional activities are taking place with great intensity, for which the first results of the construction are already visible. 

„Today together with the Minister of Transport and Communications, Goran Sugarevski, the Director of Public enterprise for state roads, and the Mayor of Radovish are here on this section Shtip-Radovish.

To my great satisfaction I must say that I am surprised by the dynamics that are moving around here. Many funds, a lot of energy is being invested in this eastern and south-eastern region of the country, which means that for a short period, in two years we will have a new functional express way, connecting the highway from Skopje to Shtip.

This eastern region of the country will be able to function and operate business and economy faster and more efficiently. Over 240 million euros of economy can move on these new roads from the eastern region so that I can say that for this region, this section is very important for this region.

One aspect is the safety of this road, because this time it was very old with a bad terrain, where there were many traffic accidents, the other is the economy, but at the moment the dynamics of the construction activities give a lot of space for development of the economy here in the whole region through construction works.

I am glad that the Government of Republic Macedonia has genuinely engaged in the development of the economy through the construction of roads, because it is very important that the money in the construction of infrastructure facilities, important for the citizens and not in some other secondary facilities that does not return a benefit. So, I believe that this time we will move with a rapid momentum to the very end and as soon as possible, the citizens of this region will see the benefits of the construction of this road”, said Mayor Bochvarski.
