Today the Mayor of Municipality Shtip, Blagoj Bochvarski together with representatives from the Municipality of Shtip attended the afforestation on the coast of the river Bregalnica near the village of Penush. This activity is implemented within the framework of the Nature Conservation Prgram in Macedonia, a project of the Swiss agency for Development of the cooperation.

„Today we are at the location near the site of Penush along the river Bregalnica, an important place for the Republic of Macedonia and the Municipality of Shtip, which is chosen because of its specificity of plants that grow here. This action is to enrich this place with such plants that dissapear from these species.

Today, together with the East planning region, through the program of the Swiss agency for development and together with the director of PE “Isar”, councilors of the Council of Municipality Shtip and participants from two secondary schools, we are here to plant 120 seedlings,”said Mayor Bochvarski.

This activity was presented to all the present by the professors at the Faculty of Forestry in Skopje, how to properly plant trees and how their cultivation is going.
