Shtip participated in the third conference of the project “United Europe”. From the 9^th of October to the 13^th of October in Setubal, Portugal was held the third conference of the “United cities” where Shtip is also a member. A delegation from Shtip, led by the Mayor Bochvarski participated at the third conference that this time had the theme “Migration and social inclusion of minorities”. 

At the conference Municipality of Shtip had a video presentation of the projects contributed and aimed at improving the lives of the minority groups and socially vulnerable categories.

„I think that we had a great introduction, keeping in mind that this is already a third meeting. What was given as a homework was completed, with two reports on migrants in Macedonia and Shtip but also help we gave as a municipality to the socially vulnerable categories”, said Dragan Ristov, coordinator of the project for Shtip.

Mayor Bochvarski had his addressing and more multilateral meetings with the other mayors included in the project, as well as with the host, Maria das Dores Meira, Mayor of Setubal. Municipality of Shtip became a part of the project “United Europe” in November last year, and according to the project, there are seven meetings predicted in each of the seven cities included in the community of “United Cities”.

The first meeting was held last year in Aksakovo, Bulgaria, carrier of the project, then the second conference was held in June in Shtip on the theme “Euro skepticism” and this is the third meeting of the project. The following meeting will be held in April 2019 in Ożarów Mazowiecki, Poland. This project is financed by the EU Funds.
