Self-sacrifice of Vera Ciriviri-Trena and her colleagues was rewarded in 1945 when not only Macedonia becomes sovereign and independent for the first time, but women were granted the right to vote for the first time, and women’s rights became the part of the Constitution of SFRJ, which marked gender equality in the spheres of the state, economic and social-political life.
