Today were denoted 105 years from the Battle of Bregalnica in the locality Kalenica in Shtip. Representatives from the Serbian embassy, the State Secretary in the Ministry of Labor, Social Policy and Fighting Rights at the Government of Republic Serbia, members of associations, organizations etc attended the event. 

On the event, The Mayor of Shtip Bochvarski had his addressing, among others:

„This battle should serve as a lesson for how people from the Balkan should not be treated.

What we need to do every day is to support and fight against division. We need to have understanding among each other, cooperate and keep in mind that the wealth of Macedonia is diversity and the beauty is the unification of these differences. It is time to deflect the policies of division, strife and conflict which are in contradiction with our European values. Our duty and responsibility is to work in the interest of all citizens without exception. We need optimism, calmness and responsibility, but also a decisive step towards a better future.

We need to work on resolving the disputes and problems by choosing solutions that unite us. Let’s learn from history and not repeat it. Let’s build a future on the basis of the past,“ Bochvarski pointed out in his speech.
