Today the Mayor Bochvarski together with the Director of the PE “Isar” signed a contract for cooperation with the company Ekolekt, a licensed collective manager company and has a license for installing waste and electrical equipment.

This meeting was attended by the Directors of the primary and secondary schools where vessels for collection of this type of waste will be placed. 

„A representative from the company Elkolekt presented the system for waste management of electric and electronic equipment.

Today we have signed a contract with the company Elkolekt and by that the Municipality of Shtip makes a major step towards the preservation of the environment.

The company Elkolekt is obliged to set up more waste containers in each school, in each class so that children will be educated to store the electrical waste at places where it is prescribed.

PE „Isar“ will be also included in this process which in close coordination with the company will work together to collect this kind of waste.

In several settlements, larger waste containers will be placed and I believe that this project will be successful,”said Mayor Bochvarski.

Municipality of Shtip is one of the 33 municipalities in the Republic of Macedonia where the company Elkolekt has placed or will place infrastructure. The purpose of this project is to enable the citizens to get free of charge from their waste in their immediate vicinity.
