Today the Mayor of Municipality Shtip, Blagoj Bochvarski attended the second “Tekstilijada” for 2018 held on 19.10.2018 , and 20.10.2018 , under the motto „Culture and Youth for changes“ – through culture and art to social dialogue. 

Mayor Bochvarski attended the part “Future in our eyes” – Positive examples for changes, where participants discussed whether employers can respect labor rights and legal regulations, and still make enough profits. Besides the Mayor Bochvarski, who hosted this debate, Dragan Tevdovski and the Mayor of Municipality of Kochani Nikolcho Iliev attended the panel.

Mayor Bochvarski stressed that for every good local government, it is important to have a well-developed local economy, which contributes to greater progress in the community. A well-developed local economy implies respect for workers’ rights and satisfied workers.

„As a Mayor I am always interested in good working conditions in the territory of the municipality that I lead. According to my competencies, I have allocated funds from the budget of the Municipality of Shtip, this year, and precisely through these funds I have supported me also for the association organized today’s event”, said Mayor Bochvarski.

Mayor Bochvarski pointed out that when it comes to the contribution that the Municipality makes in the direction of development of the local economy, the most important step that the Municipality of Shtip has undertaken at this moment is the gasification.

This is exactly what employees are doing for them, because by gasifying companies, the monthly costs of firms are reduced by some estimates and up to 70%. Reduced costs mean an increased amount of finances that firms have, which means increased salaries for workers, greater efficiency in working and creating a positive working atmosphere that respects worker rights. In this way, the Municipality realizes its investment in the promotion of labor rights.
