Today the Mayor of Municipality of Shtip, Blagoj Bochvarski together with the director of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue, Adnan Dzaferovski and representatives from countries of the European Union visited the Shtip Fire Department in order to see the situation and the capacity of the Territorial Fire Department in Shtip. 

„According to what I received as information, we are one of the better firefighting units that are well suited to the tasks they receive from the central institutions, but as a Mayor I can say that here we have a team that can answer any kind of challenge with the equipment we have. My task as a Mayor is in the future to continue with investments, together with the commander of TPPE Shtip in improving the conditions, in improving the vehicles.

We have already applied together with the Municipality of Goce Delchev from Bulgaria for a new fire fighting vehicles, money from the European Union, if we get them we will have a new vehicle for the fire fighting unit.

Few weeks ago we received a support from the Directorate for Protection and Rescue in equipment that will be in the benefit of firefighters,” said Mayor Bochvarski.

Municipality of Shtip is the first one that has been visited by the representatives of the European Union where an insight has been made in the work of the Territorial Fire Unit in Shtip.
